Antonis Psaltis and one of Tinos’ top restaurants take over Ark for a one-night-only dinner.
After Giorgos Samoilis and his Sifnos-based Cantina, the Symposio at Ark series continues with the island of Tinos and the acclaimed restaurant “Itan Ena Mikro Karavi”, on Thursday, May 8th. As part of the vibrant culinary renaissance on this uniquely beautiful Cycladic island—whose restaurants have been making waves at the Athinorama Greek Cuisine Awards in recent years—“Itan Ena Mikro Karavi” (a 2025 Greek Cuisine Award winner) is one of the island’s essential culinary destinations.
Set in a former open-air cinema, the restaurant now unfolds in a lush, shaded courtyard wrapped in a grand old vine. A beautifully restored traditional hammam serves as a wine cellar and tasting room at one end.
In this elegant and theatrical setting, Antonis Psaltis draws on Tinian culinary heritage and local ingredients to craft refined, soulful dishes from both sea and land.
Highlights include a bold tomato and kopanisti tart, superb cod with oven-baked Tinian chickpeas, tangy trahanas served like stuffed vegetables, rich beef giouvetsi, and a playful rice pudding “risotto” alongside decadent chocolate cake. A carefully curated wine list and gracious service round out the experience.
